Riau Book — Bolu kemojo is a Malay traditional food. In order to celebrate, Riau as The Homeland of Melayu, Bolu Kemojo was arranged into a replica of a mountain as high as 10 meters, so it looked like a giant. This mountain of Bolu Kemojo even breaks the MURI records (Muri).

This is a success which makes proud of the manager of Pekanbaru Recreation Park, Alam Mayang Drs Riyono Trisoko Gede and his team. Muri record-breaking was done in that area.

Senior Manager of MURI, Awan Rahargo after handing over the charter award to Yono said, "This is a form of appreciation toward the superlative achievement of initiative and work which Muri believed as the realized of enthusiasm of the people of Riau.

"Today Muri noted the making of the highest mountains of Bolu Kemojo in Indonesia, which was formed with a 10 meters foundation frame, utilized more than three thousand Bolu Kemojo Riau. Proudly Muri noted this as a record," said Awan.

He also said that the culinary heritage of Nusantara remain exist and sustainable, Muri record this with the number 7279 in the making of initiative and work of the highest mountains of Bolu Kemojo in Indonesia.

In conversations with several media, Sunday (01/03/2016), Yono, his familiarly nickname, express that the agenda was intentionally made to help and success Riau as the Homeland of Malay in the national culture.

It is not an easy thing to make a giant cake especially in the context of the record-breaking. To make it perfect, it takes three days and two nights to cook Bolu Kemojo and we did it for 50 hours non-stop.

Working team which worked hard, called "bertungkus lumus" in malay language, in making it up consist of 28 people , they are from Yon Paskhas 462 Pulanggeni, students of SMK 3 Pekanbaru Department of Pasiteri and members of Wall Climbing of Indonesia.

He specifies, made Bolu Kemojo up to a giant or looked like mountain requires a half tons of flour, 5,000 eggs, 125 kg of sugar and 100 kg of butter which produced 3 more than three thousand bolu kemojo.

"This record-breaking was the success of the team and form of small support to the Government of Riau Province. Hopefully, bolu kemojo which is the specific culinary culture of Riau could be national culture," said Yono. (RB / rls)
